PLAN A - Prescription Weight Loss Plan - We prescribe prescription drugs that are FDA approved and endorsed as quality weight loss products. Each is designed for a specific type of patient and purpose. We have given a brief description and names of the products we have prescribed to our patients with positive results. Dr. Thomas Alfreda will answer any questions you may have on any products when you schedule you initial consultation.
PLAN B - Pharmaceutical Grade Supplement Weight Loss Plan - We have combined 5 incredible detoxing and weight loss over-the-counter Pharmaceutical Grade products that will cleanse your body and at the same time, fill your body with all the right nutrients to help you lose weight and keep your vitamins and minerals at optimal levels. Prescription Weight Loss Plan
Eating less and moving more are the basics of weight loss that lasts. For some people, prescription weight loss drugs may help. You'll still need to focus on diet and exercise while taking these drugs, and they're not for everyone.
Doctors usually prescribe them only if your BMI is 30 or higher, or if it's at least 27 and you have a condition that may be related to your weight, like type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. Before you get a weight loss drug prescription, tell our doctor about your medical history. That includes any allergies or other conditions you have; medicines or supplements you take (even if they're herbal or natural); and whether you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to get pregnant soon.

Phentermine
How it works: Curbs your appetite.Your doctor may prescribe this under the names Adipex or Suprenza. It interacts with the hypothalamus gland, reducing just how hungry you feel. This makes Phentermine effective but it is only designed for short-term use. It provides the small boost that patients often need to cement healthy eating habits and exercise routines.
Approved for long-term use? No. It's approved for short-term use (a few weeks) only.

Saxenda
Saxenda® is an FDA-approved, prescription injectable medicine that, when used with a low-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity, may help some adults with excess weight and who also have weight-related medical problems (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes), or obesity,b to lose weight and keep it off. Saxenda® is not for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and should not be used with Victoza® or any other GLP-1 receptor agonist or insulin.
Contrave
How it works: Contrave is a combination of two FDA-approved drugs, naltrexone and bupropion, in an extended-release formula. Naltrexone is approved to treat alcohol and opioid dependence. Bupropion is proved to treat depression, seasonal affective disorder, and help people stop smoking.

Qsymia
How it works: Curbs your appetite. Qsymia combines phentermine with the seizure/migraine drug topiramate. Topiramate causes weight loss in several ways, including helping you feel full, making foods taste less appealing, and burning more calories.
Approved for long-term use? Yes. Qsymia has much lower amounts of phentermine and topiramate than when these drugs are given alone.
Belviq
BELVIQ/BELVIQ XR is a FDA-approved prescription weight-loss medication that, when used with diet and exercise, can help some adults (body mass index [BMI] ≥27 kg/m2) living with extra weight, with a weight-related medical problem, or adults living with obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m2), lose weight and keep it off. It is not known if BELVIQ/BELVIQ XR when taken with other prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal weight-loss products is safe and effective. It is not known if BELVIQ/BELVIQ XR changes your risk of heart problems, stroke, or death due to heart problems or stroke.
